My research areas involving
studies on:
· Taxonomy, life histories,
diagnoses, ecology, and host-parasite relationships of Platyhelminthes (mainly
Digenea, Monogenea and Cestoda) parasites of marine mollusks, crustaceans,
marine fish and shore birds.
· Diagnoses and taxonomy of
parasites of commercial shrimps and crabs. The principal agent studied are
bacteria, fungi, protozoan and metazoan.
· Evaluation of the marine
zooplankton role in the life cycles of digeneans, and taxonomy and diagnoses of
another parasites of jellyfish, ctenophores, micro crustaceans and chaetognats.

Academic activities,
I served as consultant in
parasitology for the University of Mar del Plata and Bahia Blanca. I had
dictated numerous conferences on the subject of parasites of crustaceans and
life history of digeneans. I have been participated in some academic commission
in the University of La Plata. I was manuscripts reviewer for different Spanish
Journals: Revista de Biología Tropical (Costa rica), Ambiente Subtropical,
Neotrópica, Naturalia Patagónica, Physis (Argentina).
